The 21st century has brought a number of challenges to Christians and to the Church in general: How can we support our youth and youth leaders? What can we do to help them draw closer to Jesus? How we remind them they are part of a larger Christian Presbyterian community?
The Presbytery of Ottawa's 20 congregations created the Youth Working Group to support congregations and youth leaders in their youth ministry, and to organize and run a number of larger youth programs.
We also organize Leading with Care workshops and other training as may be required.
Our 3rd Lighting the Way Forward workshop is coming at the end of April. (Click for PDF).
Led by Patrick Wilmot (Wabano), Rev. Laurie McKnight (St. Paul's-Eastern), Rev. Cheryl (Presbytery Ministry Animator), and Claire Savage (UCC Student Minister), this Healing & Reconciliation workshop helps participants to think out of the box by exploring what is important to them and how they relate to /interact with others and turning the answers into symbols.
Métisse artist Marie-Claude Charland will be there to take the symbols we create and turn them into a mural that can be displayed in different venues.
- Saturday, April 27 - 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon
