Healing & Reconciliation Event, Oct 19-20 @ Immaculata High School

Taking Indigenous lands - residential schools - the 60s Scoop - missing Indigenous women - cultural appropriation and cultural genocide ... non-Indigenous people have certainly done a lot to damage our relationship with Indigenous people. What can we do to improve it?

That's a question facing many non-Indigenous people today - including Christians and congregations.

Join us October 19-20 for a Healing & Reconciliation event, geared for building bridges of understanding through reconciliation in action - ReconciliACTION.

The event is hosted by the Covenant Chain Link/KAIROS, and will be held at Immaculata High School, 140 Main Street, Ottawa K1S 5P4. Friday's keynote speaker is Theland Kicknosway and the day is geared more towards youth. The keynote speaker on Saturday is Max FineDay. The Master of Ceremonies for both days is Justin Holness (Jakota).

There will be keynote addresses as well as workshops, information sessions, and the Blanket Exercise. Cost is $25 for students and non-wage earners; and $40 for adults.

Confirmation 2019

Gracefield - Jan 18-20, 2019

Have youth who want to be confirmed but too few to hold your own retreat? But what if youth from several congregations were to come together for a truly special confirmation retreat at Gracefield

That's what is being planned for January 18th-20th, 2019. Details are still being sorted out as well as cost. Topics: God, the Bible, the Good News, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Missionaries, Church History (the Reformation), Presbyterianism, and Sacraments.

Come, experience God's presence and deepen your own faith through discussions, activities, fellowship, good food and just plain fun!

Choices & Choices: Customizing Curriculum

February 23, 2019 - location to be finalized

What curriculum should you be using? What curriculum should you avoid? What do you do with curriculum once you get it?

Overwhelmed by all the options? Join Emily Hill, Education Program Coordinator from National Office, on Saturday, February 23, 2019 (place to be determined) for a one-day workshop on curriculum.

Want her to deal with a specific topic? There's still time for us to custommize the workshop! Contact Cheryl (cgaver@cogeco.ca) and let her know what you would like Emily to cover!
